西班牙斗牛士在中国显示高超技艺！

they hold a large red cloth to make the bulls angry. they get as close as they can to the bulls. but before the horns hit them, they have to jump quickly away!

  in shanghai at the weekend, three of spain’s top matadors（斗牛士）fought at the first ever spanish bullfight in china.

  three matadors had fights with eight mexican bulls. thousands of people went to the show. they waved white handkerchiefs and cried “ole” after the great moves of the matadors.

  they also enjoyed spanish songs and dancing.

  a bullfight is a game of courage. it started in greece in about 2000 bc. it is a popular spanish sport.

  matadors usually wear bright jackets, thin trousers and hats. when a bull comes on to the field, a matador uses all kinds of moves. he waves a large red or pink cloth in front of the bull.

  the bulls will be angry and run after the matador. to show his courage, the matador tries to get as close as he can to the horns. sometimes he holds them! the matador can’t let the bulls get him – he may be hurt or killed.
