what is american food? to many people, american food means hamburgers, hot doge and fries chicken. if you have a " sweet tooth", you may even think of apple pie or chocolate chip cookies. it's true that americans do eat these things. except for thanksgiving turkey, it's hard to find another typical "american food". the united states is a land of people who come from different countries. when people move to america, they bring their cooking styles with them, too. so you can find almost every kind of food from other countries in america. sometimes americans even look on such foods as their favorites. for example, they love italian pizzas, mexican tacos and chinese egg rolls. however these foods in america don't taste quite like their original ones.

class one had a school trip to the world park yesterday. now kitty and daniel are talking about it. 

k: yesterday's trip was great! i really enjoyed myself.

d: me, too. it was interesting to see so many places of interest from all over the world.

k: i didn't like the trip at the beginning. there was too much traffic on the city roads, but it was ok on the highway.

d: did you feel sick for most of the trip?

k: yes, but when i got to the park, i felt better.
